How to use ImprovMX SMTP with Gmail
ImprovMX SMTP is very easy to set up within Gmail. You'll be able to switch between your alias (alias@yourdomain.com) and the host Gmail address for each piece of sent mail. Follow these steps to get started!
1 ) Generate your SMTP user in the ImprovMX dashboard at app.improvmx.com.
Click the settings cogwheel next to your domain name, and then select SMTP Credentials.
Fill in the username (alias) and create a password. Save this password for use with future steps.
2 ) If you haven't done so already, add one DMARC and two DKIM records to your domain as per the "DNS settings" panel.
3 ) Create your alias in Gmail.
Open Gmail and head into your "Accounts and Import" settings: Settings Cogwheel -> All Settings -> Accounts and Import
Under Send mail as: choose Add another email address
Fill in the settings as follows:

4 ) Confirm your alias
In your email (the address used as the forward-to for the alias you're adding), you will receive a confirmation email. Verify your alias by entering the code or clicking the link in the received email.
5 ) Send an email from your alias.
Compose a new email and select your ImprovMX alias on the "From" line.
Fill in a valid "To" recipient (don't use the same Gmail address that you're also forwarding to as per this guide)
Fill in a test subject and body, and click send.
Confirm receipt of the test email!
* If nothing happens when you first click "send" from Gmail, refresh the page and try again.
